Course ~ Supporting Multilingual Learners: Asset-Based Approaches
LAUSD, California
“This class made everything crystal clear, and now I am very confident that I know what good reading instruction should include, how it should be structured, and, more importantly, all the areas where I can have the most impact, as the speech and language therapist to help bridge the phonological, morphemic, syntactic, and semantic gaps my students are facing that are preventing them from becoming strong readers.”
Course ~ Foundations of Early Literacy: Alphabetics, Grades Prek - 2
Los Angeles, California
"It was a great experience. I loved the videos and feel that they are a useful resource to share with my colleagues. I felt that the workload was fair and accessible while being informative and thought provoking. I feel that I came away from the course with tools that I could use right away."
Course ~ Cultivating Lifelong Learning through Self-Regulation
LAUSD, California
"This course was worthwhile. I did not know much about how to teach reading before the course. I now have a better understanding the importance of structure and how to assess students who are currently in my classroom that are struggling."
Course ~ Foundations of Early Literacy: Alphabetics, Grades Prek - 2
LAUSD, California
"Great overall experience. My eyes are now open to lots of new ideas which I will certainly implement in my classroom or recommend to my school's PTA."
Course ~ Engaging Families in Support of Student Learning, Grades K-12
Lansing, Michigan
"It was a wonderful experience for me because I am a speech therapist in a school with students who are poor and many are in shelters. Many are far below grade level and are highly distracted. Throughout the course, I saw so many of my students and started applying some of the strategies with them as I took the course."
Course ~ An Introduction to Social Emotional Learning, Grades K-12
Los Angeles, California
"I thoroughly enjoyed doing and engaging with this course (maybe it's because I'm a math teacher). The amount of learning and work was just right. This course went directly to the point of doing the work for each module and I didn't have to answer a bunch of unnecessary repetitive questions or meaningless activities."
