Preschool Themed Videos
Children are transported to various community-based organizations. They will tour the facilities virtually as Miss Penny askes questions and incorporates vocabulary developmental strategies.
Age-specific Supplemental Curriculum
Each virtual field trip provides standards-based lesson plans, and assessments, which include alignment to state-specific early learning standards and the Head Start Early Learning Outcomes Framework. Lesson plans target the following age groups: 4YO, 3YO, 2YO, 1YO.
Take Home Pages
Downloadable structured reinforcement activities to be completed at home with family members in support of the language, communication, and emergent literacy skills addressed in class.
Extension Activities
Each experience includes activities focusing on building vocabulary and/or additional theme-related “A Day With” videos which will enable children to shadow a day in the life of a professional as they describe the details of their job.
SOLUTIONS
Continuing Education Units (CEU)
Teachers will earn 5 in-service hours .5 CEUs for each completed Virtual Field Trip Experience. In-service hours can be used toward the renewal of CDA (Child Development Associates) credential.
Professional Learning Community
Members will have the ability to work with other pre-school educators using structured reflection activities and discussion forums with peers locally and nationally.
Economical and Cost Effective
An affordable annual subscription-based program allows educators full access to all available virtual field trips offered by TKL’s catalog.
Accessibility
KidVision Virtual Field Trips harness the power of the internet & technology to bring unique learning experiences to preschoolers in their classrooms. Teachers will have access to the virtual field trips from any device which has internet access or any browser.
