Ohio – Russellville Elementary wins the TKL Online PD Grant for Professional Development

During the 2016 Spring-term, up to 30 teachers will receive fully-credited comprehensive online PD courses or the equivalent of $5000.
We are pleased to announce that Russellville Elementary from the Eastern Local School District in Ohio has received the TKL $5000 Online PD Grant for Professional Development.
It joins Palmer Park Preparatory Academy & Durand Middle School in Michigan as Spring 2016 winners of this program. Each school will receive access to 30 fully-credited comprehensive online PD courses or the equivalent to $5000.
TKL developed this grant to provide schools with the opportunity to accomplish their Professional Development requirements and give teachers the chance to experience the difference in quality and applicability offered by online professional development course. Teachers will have the ability to select from a catalog of dynamic and innovative credited courses which will align to their (IPDP) Individual Professional Development Plan.
According to Jodi Slonaker, Director of TKL Operations, the grant will take Russellville Elementary personnel to the next level, working with easy-to-use comprehensive online courses that are accessible to teachers through any mobile device and as time permits in their busy schedules. “We are excited to support and be a part this school’s vision,” explains Slonaker.
Our focus has been to offer educators practical and engaging courses which provide teachers with an in-depth examination of the recent instructional shifts, and strategies for supporting successful integration into classroom practice.
Slonaker explains that “TKL’s supportive process guides teachers in continuously fine-tuning their knowledge and skills. We work with teachers to achieve their professional goals as well as meeting the demands of today’s student. We want to give teachers the opportunity to do this effectively through our growing Individualized, Reflective, and Transformative online course offerings.”
