Engaging Families at Home

We have come to a tipping point in education in which students graduating from our schools will be competing in a global workforce. To ensure that all children are ready for success in college and in the workforce, parents must become engaged early – and stay involved over the school years – to reinforce children’s skills in all subject areas.

At home, parents play an important role in setting high expectations for learning. In this course, we will be focusing on providing parents with resources and strategies on how their support can make a difference in their child’s overall academic success. We need to help parents see that developing their child’s desire to learn is one of the greatest gifts a parent can give.

In this course, teachers will review how parents can stay involved in their child’s education throughout their schooling years.
