Creating Student-Centered Learning Environments

The focus for this GPLC instructional topic is intended to provide opportunities for teachers to proficiently create student-centered learning environments.

The primary focus will be for teachers to identify how 21st-century classrooms are transformationally different than traditional classrooms and will identify key characteristics of student-centered learning classrooms.

Connections with the Danielson’s Framework will be integrated throughout the course with a real-life, hands-on application for student engagement within an enriched learning environment. Participants will dig deeper to design hands-on lessons that will promote a positive student-centered learning environment to optimize student success.
